"When I first met Asher, I had seen his resume but knew nothing about him personally. When he showed up for his audition, I was suprised to see this young man walk in. I was completely taken by surprise. With the experience he had I was expecting someone much older.Rosemary, my coordinator, had sent him "Desert Dance" to prepare for the audition. This piece features violin and guitar. I had always envisioned someone really tearing into the piece on violin as it has a fun rhythm that is just perfect for soloing. Apparently, Rosemary had told Asher nothing about what I was looking for in the performance and decided to let him just "go" with what he was feeling. Obviously a wise decision...he not only tore into it, he "shredded" it! He is an incredible talent, truly gifted and a pleasure to work with .
